Education and prevention services at Clinic 5 are for persons with increased risk factors for developing a substance use disorder. Participants learn tools to act in a healthier manner and create environments that support healthy behavior. Our staff uses a Strategic Prevention Framework designed for both individual and group settings. Evidence-based strategies include building life and social skills as well as identifying physical and cultural factors that impact drug use. Early intervention also allows our counselors to assess at-risk individuals and when appropriate refer them for additional treatment and support. Through quality education and prevention, Clinic 5 seeks to promote healthy and responsible choices that improve individual, family and community function.
